molecular biology: isolation of DNA and RNA, PCR, southern-blotting, cloning, creation of cRNA probes for in situ hybridization

biochemistry: protein extraction, western-blotting, immunprecipitation, preparation of lipid-rafts

cell culture: cultivation of different cell lines, cryo-conservation, primary culture of neurons and lymphocytes, transient transfections

in situ hybridization: conventional and fluorescent (FISH)

analysis of lymphocytes: cellular separation with AutoMACS, FACS-analysis, Ca-flux-measurements with LSR-cytometer, proliferation- and apoptosis-essays 

immunohistochemistry: conventional and fluorescent

applied behavioral biology: fear-conditioning, hot-plate analgesia, open-field, hole-board, startle-response, smell-test, taste-novelty
